Gerard Butler has to save the president (again) in ‘London Has Fallen’ trailer

After saving the president from an attack on the White House in 2013’s Olympus Has Fallen, Gerard Butler is back to save the president from terrorists in London in London Has Fallen.

The first trailer for the action sequel was released today, coming after the July teaser. In this film, Butler’s Mike Banning has to travel to London, where the President (Aaron Eckhart) is attending a meeting of world leaders. With all those leaders in one place, a terrorist decides that now is the perfect time to just blow up all of London’s landmarks, including the Houses of Parliament.

The trailer plays like a YouTube video made of what someone would think a sequel to Olympus Has Fallen would look like. The president is in danger, Morgan Freeman and Angela Bassett look very concerned and Butler goes around with a gun ready, while dodging explosions. Also, the risks are absolute, since the terrorist threatens to blow up other cities around the world.

London Has Fallen opens on March 4, 2016 and was directed by Babak Najafi. The cast also includes Melissa Leo, Charlotte Riley and Robert Forster.
