Girls star Allison Williams is set to star in her first feature film, Get Out.
Deadline reports that the film titled Get Out is a horror film that is written and will be directed by former Key & Peele star Jordan Peele. The film will be produced by QC Entertainment and Blumhouse Productions.
Bloody Disgusting noted that when the film was announced in September, Peele had stated that the film, “takes on the task of exploring race in America, something that hasn’t really been done within the genre since Night Of The Living Dead 47 years ago. It’s long overdue.”
The film revolves around a young black man who visits his white girlfriend's family estate. There are not many other details about the film's plot as of now.
Peele, who recently signed with CAA, is best known for starring in Key & Peele on Comedy Central. He was also a MADtv cast member for five seasons.
As time progresses for the production of his feature film Get Out, there is a possibility that he will reveal more details about the plot. It has not been revealed whether or not Williams will play the girlfriend in the film, but the news states that she is set to star in the flick so that leaves open the possibility that she did nab the lead role of the girlfriend.
Williams starred as Peter Pan in the play that was filmed live on NBC. Williams also currently plays Marnie on HBO's Girls which returns in February for its fifth season.
