Even Google can’t resist joining the Star Wars fan club. The search engine unveiled what is likely its best Easter egg yet.
If you go to Google.com right now and type in “a long time ago in a galaxy far far away,” Google’s search results page is styled as the opening crawl from the Star Wars movies. When you put the sound on, John Williams’ iconic main title march begins. You have to hit the pause button if you actually want to read the results, or they will just continue scrolling by.
Most of the results at the moment are news reports about the Easter egg, so the secret is clearly out.
This is just one of the latest Star Wars features added to Google. On Monday, the search engine announced a partnership with Lucasfilm and Disney to add more Star Wars-themed surprises. Once you go to Google.com/Star Wars, you can pick the Light Side or Dark Side and various Google apps will change to reflect your pick.
In other words, it keeps getting harder to avoid Star Wars. The Force Awakens opens on Dec. 18.
