One of the blue gingham dresses made for Judy Garland during the production of MGM’s 1939 classic The Wizard of Oz hit the auction block on Monday in New York. It sold for well over $1.5 million.

The dress was one of the highlights at Bonhams Hollywood memorabilia auction on Monday in New York, held in conjunction with Turner Classic Movies. It sold for $1.565 million, including buyer’s premium. Reuters reports that it was sold to an anonymous bidder over telephone.

Designed by MGM costume designer Adrian, the dress is believed to be one of 10 created for the film. It was one of the last remaining complete dresses.

Other items sold at the auction include screenwriter Herman Mankiewicz’s Rosebud sled from Citizen Kane, which went for $149,000; a golden ticket from Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, which sold for $35,000; Marilyn Monroe’s suit from Gentleman Prefer Blondes for $425,00; and a chair from The Maltese Falcon for $87,500.
