Julia Roberts reveals she has no interest in directing because she already feels like one at home with her three children; twins Phinnaeus and Hazel, 10, and Henry, 8.

Roberts is more than happy being an actress, so she won’t be joining the path some of her peers, like Angelina Jolie, took.

“I would just never want to be that person,” Roberts told People. “I get everybody out the door to school on time, clean, fed, happy. That’s directing a whole production right there.”

She went on to say how much of an impact it is on her kids’ lives when she’s away shooting a movie really is, saying her daughter calls the period of time she filmed August: Osage County the “dark time.”

Roberts added of her husband, Danny Moder, “Danny is very much a part of it so there’s only one little element gone — I like to think I’m an important element.”

The Secrets in Their Eyes star also told E! News being a mom is sort of like being an “air traffic controller.”

"Listen, come over to my house—that's directing," she said. "'Hey, brush your teeth! Get your uniform, basketball is tomorrow! Get your violin!'”
