Donald Trump hosted Saturday Night Live despite protests from advocacy groups, and comedian Larry David took the opportunity to call him a “racist.”
As previously reported, NBC was pressured to drop Trump from appearing on Saturday Night Live due to his racist remarks regarding immigration.
There was even an offer from latino advocacy groups to give $5,000 to anyone who dared to call him a racist while he was appearing.
People reported that David took up the offer himself. The comedian, who has parodied Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders in the past on SNL, called out “Trump’s a racist!”
The group, Deport Racism, reportedly is planning on standing by their agreement and will give the money to the star. They posted on Twitter that he is the winner.
Meanwhile, Trump appeared on the show and even appeared to poke fun at the controversy surrounding him. Cast members Taran Killam and Darryl Hammond came on to appear beside him as himself.
