A man whose legal name is Phuc Dat Bich – pronounced Phoo Da Bic – has resorted to showing his passport to prove it’s his real name after repeatedly being shut out of Facebook.
Bich, who lives in Australia, accused Facebook of discriminating against him because he’s Asian. The social networking site apparently keeps shutting down his account because of how his name translates in English.
In a post that dates back to January but is going viral now, Bich wrote, "I find it highly irritating the fact that nobody seems to believe me when I say that my full legal name is how you see it.”
He continued, "I've been accused of using a false and misleading name of which I find very offensive. Is it because I'm Asian? Is it?"
