Even though Adam Levine will likely have to be on another season of The Voice, Maroon 5 is planning a fall 2016 tour. The group announced the tour on Friday, although they didn’t say anything about promoting a new record.
Maroon 5’s latest album is V, which featured the hits “Maps,” “Sugar” and “Animals” and was released in August 2014. It did hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart and the video for “Sugar” has reached over 8000,000 views on YouTube.
The new tour will kick off on Sept. 3, 2016 at the AT&T Center in San Antonio. They will stay on the road through Oct. 16, when they perform at Oracle Arena in Oakland. American Express Card Members and fan club members will get to pre-order tickets on Monday. General public tickets will be available at Live Nation on Nov. 14.
Tove Lo will be the special guest at every stop. R. City will perform during the first month, but Phases takes over for a few of the October dates.
The group is also reportedly in the running to perform at Super Bowl 50. A halftime act for the game hasn’t been picked yet.
