‘Men in Black 4’ to have female lead

The Men in Black franchise has had plenty of ups and downs, but has always lacked a female agent alongside Will Smith or Tommy Lee Jones.

According to Variety, the producers of the fourth installment want to give the franchise a shot of adrenaline with a female lead.

Producer Laurie MacDonald told the BBC, “There will be a prominent Woman in Black in the fourth [film].” Smith’s involvement in the picture is still unknown but that doesn’t mean that the producers will not try. "Never count Will out,” MacDonald said.

There is also a rumor that the franchise will merge with the 22 Jump Street franchise, because Hollywood likes to do that lately. That remains just a rumor but Jump Street creators Phil Lord and Chris Miller would be willing to give it a shot.

There a lot of questions surrounding Men in Black 4 and only time will answer them. Will fans see the return of Will Smith? Who will the leading lady be? Will this crossover ever happen? Nobody really knows for sure but it should be an interesting topic to discuss over the coming months.
