Peter Jackson is known for being the mastermind behind all things Middle Earth, but now it seems that he might be moving towards a different historic sci-fi universe.
The Oscar winning director posted a short video sketch on Facebook in which he can be seen polishing his Academy Awards and talking with his daughter. During their conversation Jackson says that show runner for Doctor Who, Steven Moffat has been emailing him about directing the show.
Jackson's daughter, Katie, read the email aloud in the video, "He says he thinks that you’re plan is that they’ll come here to New Zealand and spend six months making an episode and then…but he wants you to go to Cardiff and make it 12 days."
This is not the first time that Jackson has talked about working on the popular BBC show. During an interview with Digital Spy he said that he would love to work on the show and direct an episode but his schedule didn't allow it. At the time Jackson was working on completing The Hobbit trilogy and before that was working on the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
While this video doesn't confirm that Jackson will be working on Who, it does make it clear that he still has an interest in the famous show.
