While Dakota Johnson doesn’t have the second Fifty Shades of Grey movie hitting theaters this year, she will still be back on the big screen on Valentine’s Day. She stars in the new romantic comedy How To Be Single.
The movie gives Rebel Wilson a chance to shine outside the Pitch Perfect movies, as she plays Robin, Alice’s (Johnson) friend who keeps giving her bad advice on how to be a single woman in New York City. Alice is the girl looking for love and Robin thinks she needs to loosen up and enjoy the single life.
Alison Brie, Leslie Mann, Jake Lacy, Anders Holm and Damon Wayans Jr. also star in the film.
How To Be Single comes from MGM and New Line Cinema. It is based on the novel by Liz Tuccillo and was adapted by Marc Silverstein, Abby Kohn and Dana Fox. The director is Christian Ditter, who helmed the Lily Collins/Sam Claflin movie Love, Rosie.
