Ryan Reynolds has excelled at promoting Deadpool on social media. He just posted a new video for the movie, showing what Deadpool did on Halloween night.
In the minute-and-a-half video, Deadpool (Reynolds) finds a group of children dressed as X-Men characters and doesn’t appear to realize that they aren’t the real X-Men. One of the kids suggests that Deadpool might have been drunk, which is entirely possible. Deadpool is also unimpressed with Cyclops, but the mini Wolverine is very cool.
This is the first footage related to the film seen since the red-band trailer released in August. That proved that 20th Century Fox and director Tim Miller are holding nothing back. Deadpool is definitely going to be rated R.
“I think it’s an absolute miracle that the studio let us make Deadpool, let alone a rated-R Deadpool,” Reynolds told the crowd at the San Diego Comic Con in July. The trailer debuted there and was quickly met with approval from the audience.
Deadpool hits theaters on Feb. 12. The character is a foul-mouthed mercenary who often breaks the fourth wall in Marvel’s X-Men universe.
