Sean Kingston spent his Thanksgiving holiday with his family and cooking for over 150 residents at the Ford Apartments, which is located within the heart of Skid Row in Los Angeles. The Ford Apartment complex is a safe place for residents that are struggling with low-income, homelessness, and mental illness issues.
Kingston teamed up with his four siblings and his mother, Janice, and together they cooked dinner for all of the residents within that apartment complex and the menu was one to remember. They cooked over 20 different dishes, including the traditional Thanksgiving items and a few special ones, including, jerk chicken, custom macaroni and cheese, curry chicken, oxtail, rice and peas.
Rapper and fellow musician Soulja Boy also joined the Kingston family and was able to give back to those less fortunate.
A source close to the family said that they cooked from 4 p.m. the day before Thanksgiving until 5 a.m. and everything was made from scratch.
Kingston wasn't the only celebrity giving back this holiday season. Matthew McConaughey and his family volunteered with Meals on Wheels in Austin, Texas on Thursday. They delivered meals to the elderly and disabled.
