Authorities have said that a stabbing occurred over the weekend at the home of actor and Wu Tang Clan founding member RZA’s New Jersey home.

NJ.com noted that police responded to the Millstone Township home just after 1:15 Saturday morning to find two men stabbed.

State Police spokesman Sgt. Gregory Williams said that both the men were transported to a nearby hospital. He did not reveal whether or not RZA, whose real name is Robert Fitzgerald Diggs, was home at the time of the incident. The Associated Press, however, reported that the 46-year-old rapper was actually performing at a show in Texas that evening.

A motive is unclear and no further details about the stabbing or names of those involved have been made available at this time.

RZA has been a very prominent figure in the hip-hop world since the ‘90s. He founded the popular Wu Tang Clan and produced many of the group's tracks over the years. He is the cousin of fellow group members GZA and the late Ol' Dirty Bastard. In addition to his music ventures, the rapper has also appeared in several movies including Derailed, American Gangster, G.I. Joe: Retaliation and Brick Mansions.
