The Weinstein Company released a new trailer for The Hateful Eight, the new film from director Quentin Tarantino. The movie might be entirely set in a single hotel lobby, but there’s no shortage of violence to go around.

The Hateful Eight is a Western set a few years after the Civil War in Wyoming, where a group of strangers are stuck for the night. Tarantino’s cast of characters includes bounty hunter John Ruth (Kurt Russell) and his prisoner Daisy Domergue (Jennifer Jason Leigh); former union soldier Major Marquis Warren (Samuel L. Jackson); Sheriff Chris Mannix (Walton Goggins); Bob (Demian Bichir); Oswaldo Mobray (Tim Roth); cow-puncher Joe Gage (Michael Madsen); and Confederate Gen. Sanford Smithers (Bruce Dern).

While he hasn’t been seen in any of the trailers, Channing Tatum is supposed to be involved somehow. Maybe there’s a ninth character to surprise us?

The new film will hit theaters on Dec. 25, but only at locations that will be screening it in 70mm Ultra Panavision. It’s scheduled to go nationwide on Jan. 8.
