Adele to perform on ‘X-Factor U.K.’ finale

Adele has been recruited to perform on the finale for The X-Factor U.K., producers for the show announced today.

The singer will perform her smash hit “Hello,” the lead single from 25. Coldplay, who were picked to perform at the Super Bowl 50 halftime show, will perform “Adventure of a Lifetime” from the upcoming album A Head Full of Dreams. Lastly, One Direction will sing “History” and “Infinity” from Made in the A.M..

The finale for this season of The X-Factor will air on ITV in the U.K. on Sunday, live from Wembley Arena. The finalists are Che Chesterman, Louisa Johnson and Reggie ‘N’ Bollie.

The Hollywood Reporter notes that Little Mix, Fleur East and previous X Factor U.K. winners Leona Lewis and Ben Haenow will perform during Saturday’s episode.

Adele’s 25 has been a worldwide hit. It has topped the Billboard 200 album chart for two consecutive weeks, selling 4.49 million copies.
