For the fifth consecutive week, Adele’s 25 has topped the Billboard 200 album chart. The even more impressive statistic is that it sold over 1 million copies for a third week.
For the week ending on Dec. 24, 25 sold 1.15 million actual album copies. According to Billboard, that’s its best week since it debuted with 3.38 million copies and even more than its second week. It climbed 46 percent over its fourth week.
25 has sold 7.13 million copies through Dec. 24 in the U.S. alone.
There were a two new albums in the Top 10 this week. Chris Brown’s Royalty debuted at 184,000 units (162,000 actual albums sold). John Williams’ score for Star Wars: The Force Awakens debuted at No. 5 with 100,000 units (94,000 actual copies).
