Comedian Bill Cosby made an appearance a Pennsylvania courtroom Wednesday afternoon after he was charged with aggravated indecent assault against Andrea Constand in 2004.

Earlier Wednesday, Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele announced that Cosby would be charged for allegedly sexually assaulting and drugging Constand, over a decade after the alleged incident took place.

Cosby did show up to the arraignment, with his lawyers helping him out of the car. He carried a cane and wore a grey sweatshirt. The former Cosby Show star did not say anything to the media. He did trip on his way into the courthouse.

According to CBS News, Cosby left just 10 minutes later after bond was set at $1 million. He posted $100,000 and his next hearing was scheduled for Jan. 14.

“She feels that they believe her, and, to any victim, that is foremost in your mind: Are people going to believe me,” Constand’s attorney, Dolores Troiani, told The Associated Press.

Over the past year, over 40 women have claimed that Cosby sexually assaulted and drugged them, but this is the first time he is facing criminal charges. He has denied all the allegations and several women have sued him for defamation over his statements.
