Emma Tapping, a mother of three from the UK, is getting some backlash for a photo she posted to her social media pages that has since gone viral. The photo depicts her family's Christmas tree and gifts stacked almost to the top of it.
Tapping has posted a follow-up message about a week later, asking those criticizing her to consider a “few facts” – seven to be exact.

Among the facts she wanted to clear up, Tapping said the photo was used “without my knowledge” and the gifts aren’t just for the three children. “The presents under the tree are for my children, myself, my partner and my mother, not just the kids,” she wrote.
The original photo got backlash because of the following caption someone wrote with it, "It's nearly time for all the materialistic parents to compete and broadcast how many presents their kids have. Just remember there's are a lot of children who won't get much."

"Please try and remember this is about 3 little children, their christmas, their tree," she concluded.
