Carrie Fisher is one of the most iconic females in science fiction history with her role of Princess Leia Organa and is speaking out about the latest controversy surrounding her infamous character.
During the third film in the Star Wars trilogy, Return of the Jedi, Fisher is wearing a very skimpy outfit while she is being held captive by Jabba the Hutt. The outfit quickly became iconic and a favorite for cosplaying around the world. Recently, the outfit has come under fire for being too revealing and sexist. When asked about the controversy Fisher simply replied with "I think that's stupid."
In regards to parents not liking this outfit, Fisher wanted to address them. "Tell them that a giant slug captured me and forced me to wear that stupid outfit, and then I killed him because I didn't like it."
Star Wars: The Force Awakens will feature the original cast from Star Wars including Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill. The Force Awakens arrives in theaters on Dec. 18th. The film has already made $50 million in ticket pre-sales.
