Chicago rapper King Louie, who was shot in the head on Wednesday, spent Christmas in the hospital, recovering from his injury. He posted a few pictures from his hospital bed on Christmas.

As previously reported, the 27-year-old was shot in the head while he was in a vehicle on the Southwest Side. He was rushed to Advocate Christ Medical Center and his reps confirmed that he was “awake and talking.”

After the shooting, King Louie, whose real name is Louis Johnson Jr., posted a few photos on Instagram to keep his fans up to date. On Friday, he posted a picture of himself wearing a Santa Claus hat.

“MERRY XMAS 2 ALL .... ALL I WANT 4 XMAS IS 4 EVERYBODY 2 KEEP ME N THEIR PRAYERS .....IM STAYING STRONG 4 MY FAMILY & THOSE WHO R PRAYING 4 ME .....THANK U ALL,” the caption read.

Johnson’s management team told the Chicago Sun-Times that his family joined him at the hospital for the holidays. He is “doing fine,” his team said.
