Chris Martin sued by photographer for allegedly striking him with vehicle

Coldplay singer Chris Martin is being sued after it was alleged that he hit a paparazzo with his vehicle earlier this year.

ET noted that the alleged incident occurred last January when photographer Richard Terry said he was injured after Martin “intentionally” struck him with his Jeep.

At the time, TMZ raised suspicion about what happened saying that Terry was taking pics of Martin and his family across the street from the Santa Monica, California, restaurant instead of on the sidewalk where many of the other photogs were standing.

In court documents Terry claimed that the 38-year-old musician "pulled his vehicle hard to the right," and hit him, which resulted in a "serious and irreparable" injury. An ambulance was called to the scene and Terry left on a stretcher.

It has not yet been specified in any reports exactly how much Terry is seeking in damages and so far Chris Martin and his camp have not commented on the suit.
