J.K. Rowling will take audiences back to the wizarding universe of Harry Potter with Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, which just received its first trailer.
Warner Bros. released a two-minute teaser for the film on Tuesday morning. In it, we learn that someone has taken a case of magical creatures to 1920s New York and now they are on the loose. Newt Scamander, played by Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne, arrives in New York to help out. Later, Scamander becomes the author of the Hogwarts textbook the film takes its name from.
The cast also includes Colin Carrell, Katherine Waterston, Samantha Morton, Alison Sudol, Jon Voight, Ezra Miller, Gemma Chan and Dan Fogler.
This is actually the second David Yates film to get a trailer this month. Last week, Warner Bros. released the trailer for The Legend of Tarzan, which Yates also directed. He directed the last four Harry Potter films, so he definitely has the experience needed to work in Rowling’s world.
Fantastic Beasts hits theaters on Nov. 18, 2016. Tarzan opens on July 1, 2016.
