Elton John surprised fans by attending Ed Sheeran’s concert in Sydney, Australia on Wednesday night, hitting the stage with him to sing a couple of songs at Allianz Stadium.
John took his seat behind the piano while Sheeran played his guitar as they sang hits like John’s “Don't Go Breaking My Heart” and Sheeran’s "Afire Love."
One fan told Daily Mail Australia the audience gave Sir Elton John a huge welcome when they “stood up and clapped and screamed for five minutes.”
Sheeran introduced him as someone who “influenced him in writing songs” when he first started out in the music industry.
This isn’t the first time they have performed together; they also sang onstage together in July and they performed together at the Grammys in 2013.
The “Thinking Out Loud” singer, 24, has performed in Australia for the past two weeks. Wednesday night’s performance was the last before he moves his tour along to New Zealand this weekend.
