Authorities in Geneva have raised the city’s security alert amid the hunt for suspects they believe could be connected to the Paris terror attacks.
One Swiss security guard told Reuters that officials are searching for four possible terror suspects thought to be within city limits and the UN building there is on maximum alert.
Police first got word about the suspects on Wednesday and were continuing to search for them on Thursday.
"In the framework of investigations carried out following the Paris attacks, at the international and national level, Geneva police and their partners are actively looking for people whose description has been provided by the Swiss Confederation," the Geneva department of security said in a statement.
As we previously reported, that attacks in the French capital took place on Nov. 13. The series of shootings and bombings killed 130 people. Since then, several European countries have joined in trying to locate anyone who may have been involved in the planning of the those attacks.
