Janet Jackson had some disappointing news to share with her fans on Christmas Eve. The pop star said that she will have to postpone her Unbreakable world tour due to surgery.

Jackson announced on Twitter that her doctors told her that she “must have surgery soon.” She promised that every tour date will be rescheduled and that tickets will be “honored in a special way” when the new schedule comes out.

“Please pray for me, my family and our entire company during this difficult time,” Jackson wrote. “There will be no further comment. I love you all so much and am ever grateful for your understanding and your love. Gon' b alright.”

Jackson announced the tour over the summer. It started on Aug. 31 in Vancouver and continued through November. She was originally set to return to the road on Jan. 9 in Denver and had dates scheduled through June.

The album Unbreakable was released in October.
