The nominees for the 58th Annual Grammy Awards were announced this morning by the Recording Academy, with rapper Kendrick Lamar earning the most nominations. The Weeknd and Taylor Swift tied for second.

Lamar earned 11 nominations in total, with Swift and The Weeknd earning seven each. Produer/songwriter Max Martin earned six nominations, while rapper Drake; mastering engineer Tom Coyne; and engineers/mixers Serban Ghenea and John Hayes earned five nominations each.

“The diversity in the creative community is what makes music a universal language, and it's gratifying to see the vibrancy of today's artistic landscape reflected in this year's nominations — a testament to The Academy's voting members,” Neil Portnow, President/CEO of The Recording Academy said in a statement. “Artists are pushing boundaries in exciting ways, making it an exceptionally strong year for music.”
