In order for Marvel studios to be the juggernaut in Hollywood that it is today it needs strong writers. Thor: Ragnarok picked up a new writer to keep up their tradition of producing entertaining blockbusters.

Variety reports that Stephany Folsom has been brought on to touch up the script to the third installment in the Thor franchise. Folsom is best known for her work on 1969: A Space Odyssey or How Kubrick Learned to Stop Worrying and Land on the Moon. She is also credited for The Princess of North Sudan, which is currently in production at Disney.

She will join director Taika Waititi, who got the job in October. Waititi is best known for his work on Flight of the Conchords and directed What We Do In The Shadows.

Chris Hemsworth will reprise his role as the mighty Thor, the Norse thunder god of Asgard. Mark Ruffalo will also be joining the cast to play Bruce Banner and the Hulk. Details of the plot are not yet known but the film will not take place on Earth or Asgard.

Thor: Ragnarok is scheduled to come out in 2017.
