Country music legend Merle Haggard has been forced to postpone a few California shows this week after coming down with pneumonia.

The 78-year-old’s team posted on Facebook Thursday that he is currently being treated in a California hospital. He was due to perform shows in Palm Desert, Riverside, Oakland and Wendover this week, but all those dates have been postponed.

Haggard is hoping to perform his shows in Las Vegas, Beverly Hills and Lemoore, California next week.

According to the Press Enterprise, the Palm Desert show at the McCallum Theatre was rescheduled for Feb. 8, 2016.

As Taste of Country notes, the Country Music Hall of Famer recently performed at the Grand Ole Opry for its 90th anniversary. He also released an album with Willie Nelson, called Django and Jimmie and toured with his contemporary in October.
