More than a week after the mix up heard around the world at the Miss Universe pageant, Miss Colombia is speaking out about the experience in which she was crowned only for a moment.
In an interview with Colombia's W radio on Wednesday, Ariadna Gutierrez said that while no one can take away the experience of what it was like to be crowned the outcome was “humiliating.”
“It was very humiliating for me, but also for the whole country and for all the people not only from Colombia but the other Latinos that were in the auditorium,” she told the station.
She also called what happened “humbling.”
The beauty is taking the high road though and said she wishes Miss Philippines, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, the best.
As we previously reported, Steve Harvey hosted the pageant on Dec. 20, and at the end announced that Gutierrez was the winner instead of the runner-up. Harvey apologized and Wurtzbach was then given the crown.
