With all the dating sites on the web that target specific audiences, it seemed like only a matter of time before Disney fans would finally get theirs. Disney lovers can finally find each other thanks to MouseMingle.com.
The recently launched website aims to help Disney fans find their perfect match through a love of everything made by the Mouse House. You don’t even have to live near Disneyland or Walt Disney World, although they would help if you need ideas for a location for your first date.
Dave Tavres created the website and has been working on it since he took a 2011 trip to Disneyland with friends.
“As usual with my friends, they asked about my dating status and why I wasn't trying the online dating sites,” Tavres told Mashable. “I told them I had tried them, but there was no way to narrow down the searches to find women in the right distance and age range who loved Disney. That was the inception moment.”
The site has many of the familiar features of dating sites, but there is one big difference: you have to pick your favorite Disney movies, characters and share your favorite memories of theme park trips. It costs $12.55 a month to contact other users (a price that is a nod to the year Disneyland opens, notes LA Mag).
So the next time someone tells you all that trivia about Disney you’ve been building up in your head is useless, remind them that you can use it to find a soul mate.
