Nicole Kidman has confirmed that Shailene Woodley will be appearing in HBO's upcoming Big Little Lies. HBO hasn't officially announced Woodley joining the cast, but Kidman did during an appearance at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit in India on Saturday. Kidman says that January, she would begin filming Lies and that Woodley will be on set with her.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, sources close to negotiations between Woodley and HBO say that the deal is expected to close next week and become official.

Big Little Lies already features Kidman and Reese Witherspoon and is being written by Ally McBeal creator David E. Kelley. The show focuses on three mothers who are brought together and thrown into chaos because of a murder. Woodley is set to be playing the role of Jane, a single mother.

Witherspoon and Kidman will also be serving as executive producers on the upcoming drama. Production is set to start in 2016.

Woodley is currently wrapping up the Divergent franchise. Allegiant Part 1 will be released on March 18, 2016 and the second film will be released on March 24, 2017.
