Tracy Morgan nearly lost his life in a car accident that killed his friend James McNair, but he told Barbara Walters on her 10 Most Fascinating People of 2015 special that he doesn’t remember any of it.
Morgan discussed the June 2014 accident with Walters at length, even revealing he was “blind” when he first came out of the coma he was in.
It was a rough couple of weeks for Morgan’s family, as he was in a coma for eight days then he couldn’t see for a week after that.
"The first night it happened, my wife got to the hospital, and the doctors told her, 'We don't know if he's coming out of this coma,'" Morgan told Walters, ABC News reports.
He added, "I don't remember any of it. And my doctor said, 'You don't want to remember any of it.’”
Morgan has made a full recovery since the accident and he has since returned to the stage, even hosting Saturday Night Live in October.
