Monday night U2 returned to Paris to play a highly anticipated show and it was during that concert that U2 invited the heavy metal band Eagles of Death Metal to join them on stage.

Eagles of Death Metal were playing at the Bataclan venue at the time of the attacks, 90 individuals died that night, including the band's merchandise manager, Nick Alexander.

Lead singer Bono addressed the crowd before bring the band out on stage, Entertainment Weekly reported. "They were robbed of their stage three weeks ago and we would like to offer them ours tonight," said Bono. Eagles of Death Metal played "People Have the Power" with U2 and they played one of their own hits, "I Love You All The Time." The performance can be found on U2's Periscope account.

U2 was set to perform and record their concerts on Nov. 14 and 15 for an HBO special but reschedule after the attacks. In a previous interview, Bono explained that a lot had been taken from Paris that night and that is irreplaceable but the band wanted to do what they could. "For one night, the killers took lives, took music, took peace of mind — but they couldn’t steal the spirit of that city. … We’re going to put on our best for Paris.”

The concert will air on Monday night on HBO at 9 p.m. EST.
