Mark Salling’s first role after Glee is reportedly in danger because of his arrest for alleged possession of child pornography. However, the director of Adi Shankar’s Gods and Secrets said he won’t cut Salling until the truth comes out.
Salling, who starred on Fox’s Glee during its entire run, has a villain role in Gods and Secrets, which is directed by Adi Shankar and Stewart Yost. According to TMZ, the producers behind the film are supposedly considering cutting Salling.
Shankar told TheWrap that he won’t jump the gun by cutting Salling now.
“I won’t feed our growing pitchfork culture,” Shankar told the site. “I’m going to wait for all the facts to arrive and if in fact these allegations are true, I will immediately take action which includes removing his scenes from the project.”
Gods and Secrets is an indie project written by Shawn Deloache and is being produced by Jenni Powell and Discourse Productions. Other members of the cast include Kellan Lutz, Jane Seymour and Alexandra Billings.
Salling was arrested on Tuesday and charged with possession of child pornography. He was released on $20,000 bail.
