Anne Hathaway posted a photo showing off her baby bump in a red bikini on Sunday, showing her fans how happy she is to become a mom for the first time.
The Oscar winner acknowledged paparazzi would be trying to get shots of her bikini body while pregnant during her vacation, so she decided she would be the one to control the image that floats around.
“Posting a bikini pic is a little out of character for me, but just now while I was at the beach I noticed I was being photographed,” she wrote on Instagram. “I figure if this kind of photo is going to be out in the world it should at least be an image that makes me happy (and be one that was taken with my consent. And with a filter :).”
It was first revealed Hathaway and her husband, Adam Shulman, were expecting their first child late last month when she stepped out with a noticeable baby bump.
Hathaway has publicly stated her desire to start a family on a few occasions, stemming back to 2013 when she said “Oh, my God. I want to be a mother, and I anticipate loving my children quite fiercely,” admitting she thinks about it “all the time.”
