While Celine Dion is mourning the loss of her husband and brother, she has received a ton of love and support from her fans and wanted them to know that she is truly grateful for that.
On Friday, the songstress posted a message to her fans on her website thanking them for everything.
"My family and I are deeply touched by the outpouring of love and support from so many people who have touched our lives during these past few days,” Dion wrote. “We have felt your love for René, and your prayers and compassion have helped us during this most difficult time... more than you'll ever know. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I would also like to sincerely thank the Quebec Government for honoring René with National Funerals as well as the many individuals and organizations who came together to hold such a beautiful tribute in his name.
We will never forget all of the kindness that you have bestowed upon us."
The letter was signed by Celine and her late husband’s children René-Charles, Nelson & Eddy, Patrick, Jean-Pierre & Anne-Marie.
As we previously reported, Dion’s husband, René Angélil, died on Jan.14 after a long battle with throat cancer. Just days later, the singer’s brother, Daniel, passed away also from cancer.
Dion has been doing a residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and canceled some of her shows in the wake of René’s death, but she is expected to return to the stage on Feb. 23.
