For her husband’s final State of the Union address, First Lady Michelle Obama stunned in a Narciso Rodriguez dress with a bold color choice.

The orangey-yellow dress caused a stir on social media, and she was welcomed by the politicians in her box at the House of Representatives gallery with loud applause.

The dress, which is described as Marigold on Neiman Marcus’ website, has since sold out.

The choice of color is a large departure from last year’s grey-ish suit from Michael Kors. She wore Narciso Rodriguez to President Obama’s first State of the Union in 2009.

In addition to making a fashion statement, the First Lady made another important statement by sitting next to an empty chair, meant as a symbol of those killed by gun violence.
