Netflix has premiered a brand new promo for the upcoming fourth season of House of Cards.
The ad, which aired during last night's Golden Globes, features President Frank Underwood addressing the nation and suggesting in the most sinister way possible that we deserve someone like him. His hollow words about "putting people first" are contrasted with images of Frank's damage throughout the past three seasons, including the deaths of Peter Russo, Zoe Barnes and Rachel Posner.
"They say we get the leaders we deserve," he concludes. "I think America deserves Frank Underwood. And in your heart, you know I'm right."
We still don't have a full trailer for the upcoming season yet, but that will likely hit the Internet sometime in the next few weeks. In the meantime, the marketing department at Netflix has been quite creative, previously airing a brilliant faux campaign ad during the Republican debate. They also launched an actual website for Underwood's presidential campaign, where Claire Underwood's page leads visitors to a clever "404 Claire Not Found" message.
House of Cards season 4 will premiere on Netflix on March 4.
