Leave it to Twitter and those on the Internet to find the hidden humor and mockery within the ongoing anti-government protest in Oregon which has now escalated to an armed militia taking over a federal wildlife refuge.

The hashtag #YallQaeda and #VanilliaISIS has started to trend on social media sites.  Since Monday, #VanillaISIS has been receiving 1,050 tweets per hour and #YallQaeda has been shared more than 2,600 times per hour, according to social media analytic site Twazzup.

Many on the Internet are choosing to make fun of the militia group instead of fear them,  while others are considering this to be a domestic act of terrorism.

If your master plan is to overthrow the world's most powerful government and you attack a remote bird sanctuary you might be #YallQaeda

I endorse the hashtag @VanillaISIS over #YallQaeda

The situation started after Dwight Hammond Jr., 73, and his son, Steven Hammond, 46, were told that they needed to return to prison for an additional sentence after serving time for arson three years ago for fires they started on federal property. A judge ordered them to return to prison and serve an additional four years. The two said that they would report to prison without issue and are not a part of this growing movement.
