Since Janet Jackson postponed her Unbreakable world tour for surgery, there has been speculation about what the surgery is for. This week, there were rumors that she is being treated for throat cancer, but she shot that down.

Jackson’s team posted a message on Twitter, announcing that she would reveal the truth about her condition. It turns out that the response was a song, “The Great Forever.” At the end of the video, she wrote:

“The rumors are untrue. I do not have cancer. I’m recovering. My doctors have approved my concerts as scheduled in Europe, and as I promised, the postponed shows will be rescheduled. Thank you for your prayers and love.”

Earlier this week, the tabloid Radar Online claimed that a tumor was found on Jackson’s vocal chords. The report came just after Jackson’s Christmas Eve announcement that her upcoming tour dates would be postponed.

During the fall leg of the tour, Jackson had to postpone two dates to rest her vocal chords.
