Jennifer Aniston has signed up to star in The Fixer, in which she will play sports manager Denise White.
The project was acquired by Fox 2000, Deadline reported on Jan. 28. It will have Aniston star as the former Miss USA contestant who made it to the top of a male-dominated world and has helped her clients manage serious image crises.
Melisa Wallack (Dallas Buyers Club) pitched the story, which will be based on Paul Solotaroff’s Men’s Journal profile “The Woman Who Bails Out The NFL’s Bad Boys.”
Aniston is co-producing, along with Echo Films’ Kristin Hahn and Steve Barnett, Bernie Goldmann and Zack Morgenroth. Aleen Keshishian is an executive producer.
Hahn and Ansiton produced 2014’s Cake, which was the former Friends star’s attempt at an Oscar nomination. Although she missed out on that, she was still nominated for a Golden Globe and SAG Award.
Aniston’s next films are The Yellow Birds, Mother’s Day and Mean Moms.
