Kanye West appears to have announced the release date for SWISH, his first album since 2013’s Yeezus.
Last night, West simply tweeted, “Swish February 11 16.” Clearly, everyone heard the message and he was retweeted over 132,000 times.
The announcement comes the same week that West was booked for the Governors Ball Music Festival in New York City. The event, which runs from June 3-5, has West as the main headline act, followed by The Strokes, The Killers and Haim. Beck, who West infamously interrupted at the Grammys last year, will also be performing.
While the new album won’t be out for a few weeks, West has been giving fans plenty to listen to in the interim. On New Year’s Eve, he released the track “Facts,” which was a long list of complaints about Nike. As Rolling Stone notes, he also started his Every Friday series this week with “Real Friends” and “No More Parties in LA,” his first collaborations with Kendrick Lamar.
