Lamar Odom has left the hospital for the first time since October, when he was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel.
The 36-year-old former basketball player was being treated at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles. Us Weekly reports that he left the hospital on Wednesday in secret, with the help of his estranged wife, reality TV show star Khloe Kardashian. The site reports that he was moved to a private facility near her home.
On Friday, Odom’s aunt JeNean Mercer sent a statement to ABC News, confirming that he is now out of the hospital. Family spokeswoman Alvina Alston also said that Odom was released this week.
"Lamar continues to make remarkable strides and we are asking that you continue to respect our privacy,” Mercer said. “Again we THANK ALL OF YOU GREATLY, your support has been paramount in helping to uplift us during these past few difficult months.”
Back on Oct. 13, Odom was rushed to a Las Vegas hospital after he was found unconscious in a legal brothel. He didn’t open his eyes until three days later and Kardashian decided to delay divorce proceedings.
On New Year’s Day, the first photo of Odom since October was posted online by his son, Lamar Odom Jr., one of his two children with ex-girlfriend Liza Morales.
