Matthew Perry says he can't even remember several years of Friends due to his drug addiction.
As reported by The Mirror, Perry was asked to name his least favorite Friends episode, and he had to rule out the ones that he doesn't actually recall making.
"I don't remember three years of it, so none of those," he said. "I was a little out of it at the time. Somewhere between seasons 3 and 6."
Perry completed a 28-day program in 1997 to treat an addition to Vicodin, which was prescribed to him after a jet ski accident, according to Us Weekly. Though he says he was never high at work, he would often arrive on set extremely hung over, and he was unable to hide it from his co-stars. He attended rehab again in 2001.
Though Perry says he was a very private person, because he was on a show watched by 30 million people, suddenly his issues were thrust into the spotlight. He has since opened a sober-living facility in Malibu beach called the Perry House.
Although the Chandler Bing star won't be at next month's Friends "reunion," as we previously reported, he said that he and the rest of the gang would be open to some kind of TV special one day.
"It's kind of tough because we've ended on such a high note that we don't want to ruin it, so we'd want to be really careful," he said. "Sometimes when you do a reunion it's terrible, and it sort of ruins the memory of the good show that you've done before."
