Michael B. Jordan made his debut as a superhero in Fantastic Four last year, but unfortunately it was an unmitigated disaster. Now the actor is discussing the failure of that film and what he has learned from it.

In an interview with IGN, Jordan described his experience with Fantastic Four as being educational for him.

The actor noted, “I look back at the film as a learning experience...I think it was a big education for me to realize that things aren’t in your control, and you can do everything you’re supposed to do. You can give 110% every day, and the movie still not work out. But that may or may not be on you and you’ve got to be OK with that."

Jordan did note that he would play Johnny Storm again if asked to return, noting that he's a big comic book fan and he loves the character.

Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be in the cards. Even though 20th Century Fox initially stood by their plans of making Fantastic Four 2, the film was later unceremoniously pulled from their schedule, as we previously reported. It has not been officially cancelled, but seeing as it only grossed $56 million domestically on a $120 million budget, we probably should not expect Michael B. Jordan to flame on again anytime soon.

Thankfully, though, Jordan went on to have a huge success in Creed, which already has a sequel scheduled for Nov. 2017.
