Playboy is already undergoing changes in the magazine by dropping photos of nude women. Now, the famous Playboy Mansion might undergo a change itself.
Playboy Enterprises is looking to sell the six-acre Holmby Hills estate in Los Angeles for over $200 million, according to a TMZ report. However, whoever ends up buying it will have a permanent houseguest, since Playboy founder Hugh Hefner has a life estate deal, so he will live there for the rest of his life.
Real estate sources told TMZ that they believe that the asking price is crazy, because a comparable lot near the mansion sold for $60 million. Other sources told the site that it could go between $80 million and $90 million though, thanks to the historical significance of the property. Real estate site Zillow estimates that the property is worth $33.8 million.
TMZ reports that prospective buyers are allowed to tour the mansion, but they can’t take a look at Hef’s room. If you can’t make it to the mansion, you could always watch the old MTV Cribs episode on the mansion below.
Playboy’s last magazine with nude photos is the January/February 2016 issue.
