More details are emerging about the interview Prince William gave for a documentary on his father, Prince Charles, including how he feels about fatherhood.

In a sneak peek of the interview on BCC for When Ant and Dec Met the Prince: 40 Years of the Prince’s Trust, the Prince detailed how the births of his children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, showed him just “how precious life is.”

The 33-year-old talked about how he became “emotional” after having children.

He told Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly “I’m a lot more emotional than I used to be, weirdly.” The Duke of Cambridge also revealed how it also brought up the possibility of not being there to watch your children grow. His mother, Princess Diana, died when he was 15.

The interview will air on ITV Monday night and will also show interviews with Prince Charles and Prince Harry.

As previously reported, the documentary also shed light on Prince Charles as a father, who would often embarrass his sons. In one incident, he laughed when a malfunction occurred during a play at Prince William’s school.
