Sofia Vergara filed a lawsuit against beauty company Venus Concept in Los Angeles Monday for allegedly using her name and likeness without her permission.

Venus Concept has been trying to cash-in on a selfie Vergara took as she used the company’s Legacy skin tightening treatment to prepare for the 2014 Primetime Emmy Awards, according to the court documents obtained by People. Vergara is seeking $15 million in damages.

The Modern Family actress claimed in the lawsuit that she never used the treatment again and did not find it useful. Therefore, she would not recommend anyone use the treatment, even if they had asked her to use her likeness in the first place.

As Us Weekly notes, the lawsuit says that Venus Concept has been using photos of Vergara to promote other products during trade shows and on the web. The lawsuit adds that Vergara has made “repeated demands” to Venus Concept to get them to stop using her image.

Vergara has several endorsement deals with other brands, including CoverGirl and Head & Shoulders. It’s deals like those that make her among the highest-paid actresses on television.
