Uber has launched a new portion of the company in certain cities in the U.S, a food delivery service called UberEats.

On Friday, Uber announced the stand-alone app will be available starting in March in Austin, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington, D.C.

UberEats was first tested out in New York and San Francisco, giving customers the opportunity to order from any restaurant of their choice and have it delivered to their door for a $5 charge.

KIIITV reports Uber promises their drivers will get their food delivery orders to customers' doors within 30 minutes.

Uber has tested out food delivery before, like when they delivered ice cream for the past four years in over 250 cities across the world, 50 countries and six continents using Uber Ice Cream. Uber has even delivered Christmas trees and kittens in the past.
